The Blue Rider was a group of artists located in and around Munich, Germany The group was founded by Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc in 1911. They represented a significant portion of the German Expressionist Movement. They were noted for their color, vibrancy, environmentalism, and are sometimes credited with the first creation of modern abstract art.
